Finance Meets the Future: Reflections on Two Years at Fast Future Executive
This morning, my LinkedIn feed lit up with anniversary congratulations, marking two remarkable years as a founding faculty at The Fast Future Executive. These moments of celebration offer a perfect opportunity to reflect on this extraordinary journey that has become one of the most enriching experiences in my professional career in the transformation of Financial Services — Fintech Land.
We are all humans and who doesn’t love a celebration? I am an explorer at heart. I get excited with new ideas that lead to new actions with the potential of new results.
I am a learner at heart. I am curious and love wearing thinking hats and learning by doing. Becoming a founding faculty at the Fast Future Executive, was a natural fit for me.
A Future-Proofing Global Platform
What makes The Fast Future Executive truly special is its unique positioning: (a) a global online platform where we share LIVE insights on our areas of focus (b) a global consortium of distinguished thought leaders, who are widely recognized in their specific domain of expertise.
But what’s even more fascinating is how this platform enables learners to connect 12 socio-economic developments and technologies that are collectively and dynamically reshaping our world.
An Opportunity to Grasp the Interconnectedness of our Future
In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, we’re witnessing unprecedented transformations in:
- How we earn our livelihood
- How we live and interact
- How we connect with each other
- How we engage with our environment
The Fast Future Executive program has ingeniously identified twelve critical topics that professionals must grasp to begin their journey of future-proofing — something that has become essential for survival in today’s dynamic world. No recordings, no pre-qualifiers, and always up to date.
A cross-industry inclusive approach to Transformation
Every quarter when I talk about the evolving Future of Money & Finance I have two core anchors in mind: (a) all businesses are transformed because financial services are and will remain core to the livelihood of any business, (b) the changes in Money & Financial services are not happening in isolation of the other socio-economic changes.
In other words, the evolving digitalization of Financial services — from Digital to Intelligent — will inevitably have a domino effect on all businesses. For some it may impact their core services and for others, it may impact only their operational workflows. At the same time, the transformation in financial services is shaped by social-economic trends (e.g. future of work and regenerative business models) and by technologies (e.g. Blockchain and AI). While I always start with a Fintech classic perspective — i.e. Fintech disruption via unbundling 😉
I close with a much broader perspective of the unstoppable evolution of Money and Finance.
Talking about digital transformation in financial services takes on a different dimension when your audience extends beyond financial professionals. The focus becomes more on translating financial mega-trends and emerging developments for professionals across every industry sector. We have had diverse groups of learners from industrial manufacturing and oil & gas to precision medical devices, advertising, and information technology.
At the Fast Future Executive program, we are uniquely positioned to include more professionals — across industries and globally — and expose them to these moving pieces of the puzzle that is shaping new Blurs, new Opportunities, and new risks.
Customized up-skilling
In addition to the affordable group educational package of the 12 modules, we`ve also recently developed a one-week course for leaders to allow them to focus on the key elements needed to drive a successful business in an AI-first world.
